Beatnik Director, Mike Gilbert, is teaming up with 23-year-old Brit Henry Crew on the Australian leg of his world record attempt to become the youngest person to circumnavigate the world by motorcycle – and it’s all in the name of men’s health.
Henry is aiming to raise more than $66,000 NZD for men’s health charity, the Movember Foundation, during the 13-month challenge. Mike is aiming to generate an extra $5,000 in donations for the Foundation by riding with Henry on the Aussie leg.
Mike and Henry will meet up in Perth, mid-August, before starting a two week ride of almost 6,000 kilometres from Perth to Brisbane.
Mike will be the first person to ride with Henry on his record attempt, which started in London in April. To break the existing Guinness World Record, Henry needs to return to the UK by Friday, 10 May 2019.
Mike and Henry are riding Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled motorcycles, loaned to us by Ducati UK and Ducati Australia and New Zealand.
