LEt’s Get to Know you
ROUTE CHANGES - New Zealand is a beautiful and rugged place. As such we can have sudden weather events or worse that may affect or limit access to some areas. There will be multiple contingency plans in place for each leg of the trip with the primary goal being to keep the group moving, having fun and most of all safe.
WEATHER - We encourage all riders to plan and prepare themselves and equipment for the possibility of riding in Rain, Wind, Heat, Cold and everything in between as New Zealand can dish it all up in the same day! This is ADVENTURE riding after all so, we will be pressing on and getting the full experience Rain or Shine.
FUEL - All sections of the tour should be reachable with standard fuel capacity. The support truck will carry some extra fuel for any ‘oops’ moments and fuel up points will be clearly communicated by the Tour Manager or Guide.
MISC. - If you are uncertain of anything at all or have any gear or equipment needs, just contact the friendly team at BEATNIK MOTO and they can help you out.
The safety and security of the tour and our guests is top priority. There will be qualified first-aid personnel and equipment available throughout as well as a comprehensive ERP (Emergency Response Plan) put in place.
Much of the route is in remote regions with no mobile service so even though there will be a Mobile, Radio, E-PERB and Sat-Phone in the support Vehicle, we encourage all riders to arrange their own personal locator devices as a back up.
The final route for the tour will be kept confidential and only be passed along to riders shortly before the ride. This will ensure the route’s integrity and increase security on the trail and at venues etc. There will be ride briefings each morning before we set off where there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions or specify any special/issues needs expected through the day.
Q:What motorcycles are considered Qualified?
A: Only models from the Ducati Multistrada range and Scrambler Desert Sleds qualify at this time. All bikes must be fitted with ADV/off road oriented tires such as Scorpion Rally,TKC 80 or similar.
Q:What about Navigation?
A:We encourage riders to bring GPS units and routes will be communicated before hand however, The Ducati Adventure Tour is about building community and friendships with our fellow Ducatisti so, we keep our group small and move as a team with a Lead Rider and Sweep Vehicle keeping everyone on track.
Q:Can I Ship my bike from overseas?
A: YES! if you plan on spending some more time riding in NZ, shipping your own bike may be a great option. We have a preferred shipping provider that specializes in motorcycle/auto transport between Australia and NZ. Click HERE for more information.
Q:What about my luggage/bags?
A: NO PROBLEM! All luggage and bags needed on the tour can be put in the support vehicle each day so that you only carry what you need on your bike.
Q: Who do I talk to if I have more Questions?
A: The professional and helpful team at BEATNIK MOTO are providing all administrative and logistical support for the Ducati Adventure tour. You can contact them directly by phone: +64 3 9722894 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
