Australia Here We come!

At BEATNIK we don't half assed anything. For us, its got to be high quality and exciting or its not worth doing. That's why when we heard about a young gentleman named Henry Crew and his attempt to be the youngest person ever to circumnavigate the globe on a motorcycle, we were inspired to get involved.

We promptly contacted our friends at Ducati Aus/NZ to see if we could work together on something exciting and support a great cause at the same time.

Well apparently there are no half assed efforts in the The Land Of Joy either! After a couple of calls and some e-mails, BEATNIK's Director, Mike Gilbert, has found himself signed up for a 5600km journey across Australia!!

Men are dying too young. A simple but powerful statement. Over the years I have lost too many friends and colleagues to preventable illness whether physical, mental or a combination of both. There are no easy solutions to this crisis but sitting on the sidelines is not the answer. I’m going to get moving. With The Movember Foundations goal set to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25% by 2030, there is a lot of work to be done. Please donate what you can to help our brothers, sons and fathers live the lives we know they deserve.

Raise Awareness, Ride and Explore

Mike will be joining Mr. Henry Crew on this Australian portion of his 'round the world record attempt. The best part? It's all raising money for a cause that Mike and BEATNIK are very passionate about, The Movember Foundation

Leading the way in raising awareness and promoting the improvement of men's physical and mental health, The Movember Foundation has been key in supporting Henry's 35000 Mile journey. Henry has set his fundraising goal on his global quest at 35000 GBP (one for every mile) and Mike will be jumping onboard with his 5K-DU goal set to $5000 (one for every KM) for The Movember Foundation as well.

With the upcoming launch of our BEATNIK-X service featuring Scrambler Ducati Desert Sleds, we also look forward to gaining some in-depth insight from Henry on the bike and also testing out these cool machines ourselves as we blast our way across the worlds biggest island.

A start date projected some time in theLast Week of August, its expected to take Mike and Henry approx. 2 weeks to travel the planned route which will have press events and stops in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and finally in Brisbane.

A world record attempt by a Brit, a Canuck from New Zealand, 2 Desert Sled's and 5600km of Australian countryside......let the Shenanigans begin!

We will keep this page up-to-date with the latest news and additional partners as the ride approaches

Men are facing a health crisis that isn’t being talked about. They’re dying too young – much before their time. This year, I’m taking action by raising funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Donate today and we can be the difference. We can stop men dying too young
